Guided Kayak Fishing Rates

My standard trip is 5 hours, which usually proves to be plenty of Florida sun and exercise for most clients. However, if you’re “hardcore” and would like to do something more, let me know. I’ll put together a game plan and pro-rate the guide fee accordingly.

5 hour guided kayak fishing trip, all kayak and fishing gear provided,

(maximum 2 anglers)

First Angler ----------------------------------------------------------------- $300

Second Angler -------------------------------------------------------------$125

Tag Along----------------------------------------------------------------------$50

(spouse/friend/relative who won’t be fishing)

Do It Yourself Consultation Rate

If you’d like some help, but don’t want to hire me for a charter, let’s do a consultation. We’ll sit down over coffee or lunch and talk about anything you’d like - species, tackle and rigging, tides, water temps, areas to fish, etc. Bring something to take notes, and maybe a chart of the area. A map on your smartphone is also helpful.

DIY Consultation--------------------------------------------------------------$60 per hr.

Deposit / Cancellation Policy

I currently do not require a deposit to hold your fishing day(s). This is a very liberal policy compared to most charter operations. So, if you say you’ll be there, then please, be there on time and ready to go. If we have communicated and set up dates to fish, you are on my calendar. If your plans change due to unforeseen circumstances, all I ask is that you notify me ASAP so I can open up the day for someone else. Please be respectful of your guide’s time and honor this policy.

Payment

Guide fees are payable by cash or personal check at the conclusion of the trip. Sorry, I don’t accept credit cards at this time. If you enjoyed your time on the water, tipping your guide is customary, but not required.

Cancellation Due to Weather

It is solely up to your guide’s discretion whether to cancel any trip due to weather. Self-powered craft like kayaks are more susceptible to wind and severe weather, so there occasionally are days that powerboats can safely go out but we really can’t. If this happens, every effort will be made to reschedule your trip on the next available day of suitable kayak fishing weather.
